We know the situation all too well. Following extensive warehouse management system testing, the time comes to move configuration changes into production. And only then, during the process of bringing the WMS online, do you discover a new issue that requires additional development to resolve.

At this time, a full regression test of the system with newly applied changes isn’t always possible. Jeff Williams, Executive Director of Technical Services at Tryon Solutions, provides three options you have when facing this challenge:

Option 1: perform a small localized test of functionality you expect to be affected

Option 2: perform a full regression test of the system while simultaneously bringing the system online without the needed changes

Option 3: delay the WMS implementation until a full regression test can be performed
